Building your finished basement will be a fun and rewarding experience.  Although everyone has their personal criteria for their finished basement, there is a simple process that will lead us every step of the way. 

The Design Process

      Our initial meeting will be at your home.  At this meeting we will discuss your thoughts, needs and goals for your finished basement.  We will review any information you have gathered including photographs, magazine clippings, etc. 

      At our next meeting we will review the preliminary design and cost estimate with you.  We will discuss the design in more detail and further explore all possibilities for your basement.

      We will meet once again to present the completed design of your finished basement.  We will make sure that everything you requested is included in your design.  We will review our finished basement agreement and will be ready to begin construction soon.

      We will make the process simple and enjoyable.  Often, you can make your selections by simply matching the components already in your home such as carpeting, door styles, cabinets, countertops, stair parts, lighting fixtures, paint colors, etc.  If you wish, you are welcome to visit our supplier’s showrooms and the professional designers that we have worked with for many years will assist you with all of your selections.

 

The Construction Process

      An initial on-site construction meeting is held to discuss preparations for construction.  We also discuss how we will protect existing areas of your home from construction traffic and how to keep dust and debris to a minimum.

      The construction time will vary depending upon the size and detail of your finished basement.  Some finished basements take approximately 30 days to complete while others may take approximately 60 days to complete.

      A finished basement orientation and final walk-through will take place upon completion of construction. We will explain the basics of your finished basement so you can enjoy your beautiful, new basement for many years.

      We welcome all of your questions, thoughts and ideas since we want you to be comfortable throughout the entire design/build process.  It won’t take long for your finished basement to be complete and ready to enjoy!
